We are building 4 double stacked garden boxes with the

                                 ‘MY AUTISM CONNECTION, INC’

This project is an opportunity to allow children and adults with autism to move forward in their education of learning about sustainable gardening from the ground up.  In order to get started, they need garden boxes built.

The Church has donated an area of roughly 50' by 50' for this project located behind their building.  The materials for the garden boxes have been donated by Elias Brothers and will be delivered next week.  Members and volunteers need to bring gloves, safety goggles, hard hats and if you have them, hammers.  The boxes are 4' x 4'.  They will be stacked to make them approximately 3' high.  I have nails and straps to secure the boxes on top of one another.  We will be making 8 boxes to stack on top of each other for a total of 4.  We will be guiding and assisting the students during the entire process.

Thank you to Elias Brothers for donating the materials and to Project, Choices, Voices & London Bay Homes for grading the site.

We need someone to pick up some snacks and drinks.  The Church has saw horses and boards so we have work tables available.  The Garden Box Project has always been a rewarding and easy construction project to achieve.  Children and families are welcome.  Please let me hear from you regarding participation.  RSVP NAWIC297@gmail.com or call me at 239-834-2194.

We thank you in advance for your support of our 2015 Block Kids Program. Without your support this event wouldn't be possible!
